New parents are focused on taking care of their beautiful new baby, but they must remember to also take care of themselves.
It is a stressful time in the life of new parents, as family dynamics and patterns change. The fatigue of long nights, prolonged postures, and often a reduction in physical activity leaves the body less able to deal with the new stresses, and less able to heal itself.
After delivery-related symptoms have been addressed, wellness-based chiropractic care can begin to maintain nervous system and spinal health and to keep the mother functioning at her best during the early and later postpartum periods. This allows the woman to be in the best health possible for herself, her family and for subsequent pregnancies.
But, ALL parents need to be able to keep up with their kids and their energetic lives. Regular self-care for parents prevents injury, increases energy and overall wellness. Having regular check ups after delivery prevents ongoing musculoskeletal issues, and helps new parents focus on the important things… like the first smile, the first laugh, and beyond.
From newborns to grandparents, people of all ages come to our office.
There is no age too young—we’ve even adjusted day-old babies! We find that many of our younger chiropractic patients don’t have a lot of the same problems as their peers do. Pediatric chiropractic is extremely safe care with a light touch, and we provide a fun environment that kids love to be in.
When your child visits us, it’s a gentle appointment. We want your child to feel comfortable with us and have a lot of fun at our office. We have many different techniques to use that are comfortable and perfect for children.
