Thoughtful representation, collaboration, and a strong voice for Manitoba within a connected national profession

About Dr. Anne Stacey

About Me

Since graduating from CMCC in 2006, I have worked in Ontario, British Columbia, and now Manitoba. Over that time, I’ve worked in clinic ownership, associate roles, and locum practice, in both urban and rural settings. Those experiences have given me a broad view of the profession and of the different realities practitioners and communities face across Canada. It has also shown me how much we all actually have in common, even while we each face different local needs and challenges, and provide care through many different models.

I grew up in Nelson, BC, a small city in South Eastern rural British Columbia, and that has shaped how I think about access to care, community, and representation. Living and working in both rural and urban settings has shown me that the needs of practitioners and patients can look quite different depending on where they are, and I believe those differences deserve to be heard and understood in national conversations.

My academic background prior to chiropractic is in biology, environmental science, and geography, strongly influencing how I approach healthcare. Along with clinical care, I often think deeply about place, access, community context, and the importance of collaborative, community-based care. I value strong professional relationships and believe the profession is strongest when we work thoughtfully, respectfully, and with a broader view of the communities we serve.

Since arriving in Manitoba with my family in late 2021, I have made a significant effort to become more engaged professionally beyond practice. From professional social events to representing the MCA at local career fairs, I always try to represent our membership in a balanced and inclusive manner. I also participated in the CCA Mentorship Program and have been interested in the recent Governance program training with the MCA. My community leadership experience through my children's sports and educational programming has also strengthened my appreciation for accountability, stewardship, transparency, and the importance of working well on behalf of others.

Why Would I like to Represent Manitoba?

I’m running for the Manitoba representative seat on the Canadian Chiropractic Association Board because I feel called to to give back to the profession in a meaningful way.

Through my broad clinical experience, I’ve seen first-hand how much chiropractors across Canada have in common. I’ve also seen how regional realities, access to care, sustainability of practice, and professional support can look very different depending on where people live and work.

I care about diverse representation, strong professional relationships, and combining different perspectives together in a constructive way that benefits the whole. I value the work the CCA has been doing in advocacy, partnership-building, public dialogue, and support for members, and I would be honored to contribute to that work.

If elected, I would endeavor to bring a collaborative mindset, a willingness to listen, and a commitment to thoughtful representation. I would hope to contribute a broad and grounded perspective shaped by practice across jurisdictions, respect for regional and cultural differences, and a genuine desire to help strengthen the profession for both members and the communities we serve.

Thank you for your consideration
